At Steamclock, it became an annual tradition to make bespoke notebooks and holiday cards for staff and clients. As the team's sole designer with an illustration and graphic design background, the execution of these often came down to me (to my delight). We often partnered with our local friends at Porchlight Press, known for their commitment to quality.
For 2023, Steamclock's slogan for the year was "Make Thoughtful Bets."
We brainstormed a bunch of directions, and ultimately landed on representing the concept through D&D – a game that's all about taking thoughtful risks.
These were printed with metallic green foil stamp on kraft paper stock, offset dot paper inside, and bound with sewn saddle stitch binding.
For 2022, Steamclock's slogan for the year was "Stay Curious."
After brainstorming various ways to convey curiosity, we landed on making a museum of crafted curios – loaded with various intriguing and mysterious items and easter eggs.

For 2021, Steamclock's slogan for the year was "Craft with Care."
To represent "crafting with care", we landed on doing an exploded isometric diagram filled with various fun easter eggs of things that contribute to crafting apps with care. (Battery fueled by ramen being the most important, obvi.)

In 2021, we made limited edition physical NFTs (as a joke, of course). These were printed with holographic foil on white cotton stock.
In 2020... well, we all know what happened. With the world in weird, unprecedented times, we wanted to bring some warmth and levity to our clients. These were printed with vintage gold foil stamp on white cotton stock.
2019 was the first year we decided to invest in doing letterpress for our holiday cards. No particular theme or brief, aside from channeling holiday spirit from a local tech company. These were printed with two-colour letterpress on white cotton stock.
